Washington, DC – Covenant House Greater Washington is excited to announce a partnership with the Delta Beta Omega Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated in collaboration with local retailer Indochino, to provide a clothing donation of over 400 tailored garments to the young people at Covenant House Greater Washington. Brother Gregory R. Michael, Arbiter Elegantiarum MPa acquired the gift from Indochino.

“We want to make sure that the youth who are working toward educational goals or employment goals know that there is support coming in different ways,” says Tasheen Stallings, member of the Delta Beta Omega Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated who is coordinating the clothing donation to Covenant House.

This gift in combination with the education and job placement services that Covenant House currently provides will put the young people experiencing homelessness and disconnection closer to achieving economic independence.

Covenant House Greater Washington offers a flexible GED preparation program that allows young people ages 18-24 to follow their dreams by successfully completing their high school education. The curriculum focuses on the mastery of subject matter tested during the GED exam–Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Language Arts. The program’s educators and volunteers work closely with youth, offering one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to ensure confidence and educational success.

Covenant House Greater Washington also provides services through the Job Readiness Career Center (JCRC) which helps young people gain valuable vocational skills in specified fields and provides interview and job search support.
